1. Product introduction:
Diphenyl carbonate (DPC) is a white crystalline solid that is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents, such as, hot ethanol, benzene, ether, carbon tetrachloride, glacial acetic acid and etc. DPC can be obtained by exchanging of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) with phenol in the presence of TiO2/SiO2 catalyst.
DPC is mainly used as raw materials for synthetizing of engineering plastics, such as, polycarbonate (PC) and poly-p-hydroxybenzoate (PHB) and etc., and can also be used as plasticizer and solvent for cellulose nitrate. In the field of pesticides, it is mainly used for synthetizing of methyl isocyanate, and then Carbofuran, an insecticide of carbamate category is prepared.
DPC is an important environmental protection chemical product. It can be used to synthetize many important pharmaceutical products, pesticides and other organic compounds and polymer materials, such as, aliphatic monoisocyanates and p-hydroxybenzoic acid polyester. It can also be used as plasticizer and solvent for polyamide and polyester.
2. Packaging and storage:
DPC produced by the Company is packaged in woven bags lined with plastic bags or well- sealed PE bags. The net content of small packaging bag is 25 Kg per bag, and the net content of package by FIBC (flexible intermediate bulk containers) is 1.2 tons per bag.
Other types of packaging can be consulted with customers.
The product shall be stored in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse to prevent from being heated and becoming damp, and stored far away from oxidant.
When the product is transported, do not cause damage to the package, fireproof, sunshine proof and rainproof are required.
